Art is subjective, but we think we can say that Massachusetts has some of the richest and most beautiful art exhibitions. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Clark Institute have some of the finest collections in the world; Mass MoCA, is the most fertile site in the USA for new art on a large scale.  In Stockbridge you can discover the work of Norman Rockwell.   For those looking for something different, there is a museum dedicated to bad art, and another Museum that will be free for you if your name is Isabella, and the oldest artistic community of the country.  Wake up your soul at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, loudly applaud the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra or discover the birthplace of hardcore punk. Theatres statewide offer a variety of performances year round and you can still experience the classic drive-in movie theatre.
